Medroxyprogesterone is a progestin (a form of
progesterone), a female hormone that helps regulate ovulation (the release of
an egg from an ovary) and menstrual periods.
Medroxyprogesterone is used to treat
conditions such as absent or irregular menstrual periods, or abnormal uterine
bleeding.
